Ray Owen Souther, age 80, lifelong resident of Akron, passed away on December 19, 2012. He was born on May 8, 1932 to the late Graden and Mary Irene Southers. Ray retired as a sheet metal worker after many years. He especially enjoyed taking karate.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters. Ray is survived by his wife of 28 years, Peggy; daughters, Sherry (Mike) Palermo and Darla Vargo; step-daughter, Candy (Tim) Dukeman; grandsons, Joseph Palermo, Travis Dukeman and Evan Dukeman; brother, Dallas (Janet) Southers; many loved nieces and nephews. No services will be observed. Arrangements are being handled by Newcomer Funeral Home.
