Ramon Luna-Leon
Ramon Luna-Leon 73, passed away on June 12, 2015. He was born in Cayey, Puerto Rico and was a lifelong resident of Akron, OH. He served in the US Army from 1959-1962. He retired from landscaping and was affiliated with the Fraternal Order Orioles 167, serving as Past President of the Supreme Nest. Ramon loved music, especially playing the guitar for family and friends, and was an avid Cleveland Indians fan. He was very jovial, charming and full of life. He loved to make people laugh and always had a great story or joke to tell.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Luz E. Luna, and several siblings. Ramon leaves to cherish his memory, daughters, Arlene (Daniel) Pena-Luna, Maria (Colin) Boyd, and Yamilet (Robert) Truex; fiancée, Carolyn McCardle; step-children, Billy (Melissa) Lowers and Tracy Snowberger; brother, Dino Luna; sister, Luz N. Luna; grandchildren, Johnnie, Brandon, Dominic, Zach, Zander, Elysia, Elam, Myranda, Ryan, Breonna; and numerous nieces, and nephews.
Family will receive friends on Friday June 19, 2015 from 5-8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305. Interment Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery on Monday June 22, 2015 at 10:30am.
