November 15, 1929 — April 4, 2014
Ralph Laney "Moose", 84, went home to be with the Lord on April 4, 2014.
Ralph attended Brimfield Church of God and was a member of the Ravenna Rod and Gun Club. He was also a member of Warsaw Sportsman's Club in Pennsylvania. Ralph retired from AMHA after over 30 years of service. He loved hunting and fishing and will be remembered as a great storyteller.
Preceded in death by his parents, Scott and Belle Laney; sisters, Bessie and Blanche; brothers, Pat and Scott, Jr.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Faye, of 26 years; daughters, Janet Crisp, of Murphy, NC, and Christine (Kyle) Hamblin; sons, Bill (Sheryl), Greg (Tina), Bill (Cassie) Martin, Doug (Tiffany), Ralph, Jr.; 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Josephine Ayers; brothers, Buster (Alene), T.C. (Dot), and Virgil; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Monday, 5-8 p.m., at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where a funeral service will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. Interment at Restland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Brimfield Church of God, Building Fund, 3580 State Rt. 43, Kent, OH 44240.
