Phyllis Ann Green

Phyllis Ann Green, 89, previously of Akron, passed away on April 18, 2016 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born in Cowen, WV on November 25, 1926 to the late Clarence and Mary Vance. She was a longtime member of Covenant United Presbyterian Church on Spicer Street. She devoted her life to raising her family and was a loving wife, mother, Oma, and great-grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Veon Green; and brother, John Ellison. She will be deeply missed by her children, Barry J. Green Sr. (Debra), Faye Moriarty (Edward), and Charles H. Green Sr. (Holly); six grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Family and friends may call on Monday, April 25, 2016 from 4-7 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Funeral services and interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd St, NY, NY 10016.
