Philip Edward Arthur Brown, 65, of Tallmadge, passed away on July 17, 2025. Phil was born in Akron on February 18, 1960 to the late James and Marcena Brown. He was raised in Northampton and graduated from Woodridge High School. After school, Phil briefly worked at a local gas station. He met and fell in love with his co-worker, Jean and they married on October 20, 1984. Their family grew to include two sons, AJ and Clayton. Phil spent most of his career as a millwright at General Motors, retiring after 24 years of service. He was a hard worker, even in his free time which he spent working on cars and motorcycles in his garage. He also loved animals and had many beloved pets over the years.
In addition to his parents, Phil was preceded in death by his infant brother, David; brother, Gary; brother-in-law, Brad Beuter; and sister-in-law, Carol Ransomer.
Phil will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Jean; sons, AJ and Clayton; siblings, Gordon (Diana) Brown, Bev Beuter, Norma Harbison, Marcena (David) Hahn, and Donnie Ransomer. He also leaves his best friend and brother-in-law, Paul Nauer.
