Mr. Peter Raymond Musleve, 79, of Akron, Ohio died early Saturday morning of May 3, 2026 at the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center.
Pete, as he was known to family and friends, (Raymond in his childhood) was born in Akron, Ohio on January 4, 1947. He was a Navy Veteran who served in the Vietnam War. He was a steel worker for F.J. Stolitzka & Son until his retirement, where he also served as the shop's union representative.
Pete was a member of the Akron Turner Club for almost 50 years. Golf was his passion for most of his life. He was a member of the Turner Club golf league (that played at Sunny Hills golf course) for many years as well as the Musser League that he helped found. They played every Thursday night at Maplecrest golf course in Brimfield. Every Sunday he played a different course throughout Ohio. He enjoyed going to play in Marietta and Myrtle Beach as well.
He was a member of the Fire & Ice billiards team of Akron, Ohio for a time.
He was a coaster enthusiast who talked endlessly about going to Cedar Point. In his 70s he rode Wicked Twister with his grandkids on its last day. He also went to Universal Studios for the first time and LOVED riding Velocicoaster!
Pete was preceded in death by his father, Peter Musleve; his mother, Margaret Musleve; and his brothers, Tommy and Jerry Musleve.
He is survived by his daughter, Rachel Abel (Steven Abel); his grandson, Isaiah Musleve; his granddaughter, Tabitha Bohn and her daughters, Everleigh, Roamlee, and Ashlynn; his grandson, Kane Abel; and his grandson, Austin Abel. Pete also leaves his ex-wife who also was a close friend and confidant for him, Karen Musleve; and his beloved cat, Luna.
