Penelope A. "Penny" Miskar, age 83, of Stow, Ohio, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2026, at Arbors of Stow Nursing Home. Born on March 25, 1942, in Akron, Ohio, Penny was a beacon of love and warmth in the lives of all who knew her.
Penny lived a fulfilling life marked by her unwavering love for her family. She cherished every moment spent with her loved ones, always making sure they felt the warmth of her affection. Her devotion continued until her final days, as she lived independently until her last two months, reflecting her spirit of resilience and independence.
Penny had a zest for life that extended to her passions and interests. A devoted fan of Indians (Guardians) Baseball, she could often be found cheering for her favorite team. In addition, Penny was an enthusiastic participant in garage sales, claiming that church sales offered the best treasures. Her keen eye for finding unique items brought her joy and created delightful memories, particularly those shared with her family during these outings.
A lover of fiction, Penny found solace and adventure in the pages of books, immersing herself in stories that captured her imagination. Each novel was a journey that she embraced, reflecting her enchanting personality and curiosity about the world.
Penny's legacy is carried on by her only daughter, Susan Hayes, her daughter-in-law, Lori Miskar, and her beloved grandchildren: her granddaughter, Nicole (Justin) Bills, her grandson, Alan (Savannah) Miskar, as well as five great-grandchildren, Allysia and Logan Bills, Brooklyn, Raelyn, and Alan Ray Miskar. Each of them holds cherished memories of Penny that they will carry with them forever.
She joins in eternal rest her beloved parents, Charles and Alice (Robinson) Hoffman, three sons: John Miskar, Frank Miskar, and David Miskar and her longtime partner of 46 years, Jerry Trencz. Their love and memories will forever remain a part of her legacy.
Penny Miscar will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her adventurous spirit, and her passion for life. While she may have departed from this world, her loving spirit will forever echo in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
No formal services are scheduled and the family extends special thanks to Arbors at Stow Nursing Home and Buckeye Hospice
