Margaret (Peggy) M. Pierce moved to her Eternal home with her Heavenly Father on Monday, June 15, 2026. Tireless in determination and forever generous, Peggy lived a long life and will be missed forever by those that knew and loved her!
Peggy gifted those who knew her with her determined spirit, endless wisdom, beautiful singing voice, love of classic country music, amazing recipes, delightful cooking, tireless drive and independence. She was a fighter who believed that dedication, ambition and hard work would change your life. She demonstrated this daily in the lives of her five children. She kept her home and heart full of love for family, friends, and anyone in need.
She was in her element when she was in her kitchen, trying a new recipe to surprise one of her many loved ones, holding a baby or crocheting an afghan for one of her 51 grandchildren. She conquered every trial that she met with, including being widowed at 27 years old with four young children, and again at 69 years of age.
Peggy is preceded in death by her first husband, Donald Vanderhoff Sr., her second husband, Wilbert Pierce, mother, Betty Beach, daughter, Betty Butz and grandson, Thomas Butz. She is survived by her four living children, Diane Rogers, Donald Vanderhoff Jr, Linda Royer and Eric Pierce, in addition to so many others she loved, including 21 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren.
Peggy possessed a spirit that did not age and did not quit. She never met a stranger, and loved to use her many self-taught talents to bless others. Her legacy will live on forever!
