Pauline Ann Younkin

Pauline A. Younkin, 90, went home to be with the Lord on February 10, 2026. She was born in Greene County, PA to the late Paul and Julia {Terreta} Vetturini.

Pauline had a green thumb, and a talent for cooking and baking- her grandkids were especially fond of her spaghetti and meatballs. She had a strong faith, and was a family woman through-and-through. Pauline had a soft spot for animals, especially her schnauzers and the neighborhood cats. She also had a penchant for shopping, and could talk your ear off- she loved striking up conversations with just about anyone. Pauline loved to host holidays and family get-togethers, watching horror movies and her soap operas, and picking her own fruits and veggies before bringing them home for canning. She knew how to lock down her recipes, despite her family's best efforts to sneak a peek! Pauline's two favorite things were a good cup of coffee and her family.

Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, brother Domenick "Sonny" and sister Rose.

She is survived by her children, Paul (Kathy), Martin (Doris), Angela (Douglas), Annette (Gary) and Debra (Mark). She also leaves behind grandchildren Joshua, Anthony, Jennifer, Martina, Kevin, Erika, Julia, Hannah, Douglas III; many great-grandchildren; sisters Angie Diamond.

Family will receive friends at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305 on Thursday February 19, 2026 from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 12:30 p.m. with Pastor Mike Vanarsdale officiating.
