Paul Wright Sr.

Paul S. Wright Sr. Mr.409 of Akron, passed away October 31, 2014. Paul was born in Mannington, WV. on July 31, 1939 to the late Thurman and Olive Wright. Paul was self employed for many years, owning Paul's Automotive, P&S Foundry and Powerhouse Racing Engines in Akron, Ohio. He was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy and in his free time he enjoyed racing at Barberton Speedway and flying. In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters. He is survived by wife, Susan of 54 years; daughter, Patty (Joe) Mitchell; son, Paul D. Wright Jr.; daughter, Amy (Ed) McCrary; daughter, Amber (Joel) Kirchmeyer; daughter, Melissa (Rob ) Riley; 13 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Family and friends may call on Thursday, November 6 from 5 to 8 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Road, Akron, where funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 am with Pastor John Klapp officiating. Interment at Lockwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the family.
