Paul D. Crites Jr.

December 30, 1987 — April 2, 2025

Paul D. Crites Jr., a gentle soul with a heart as vast as his love for animals, who graced our lives with his unwavering warmth, kindness and gentle spirit passed away on April 2, 2025 in the comfort of his home. He was born on December 30, 1987 in Akron. As a hard worker, he embodied dedication, his tireless nature likened to that of a workhorse, earning the respect and admiration of all who had the privilege to know him. Those fortunate enough to cross his path would find themselves enveloped in his boundless kindness; he was always ready to lend a helping hand, regardless of the circumstances. He was a rare soul who lived by a simple yet profound mantra: to do anything for anybody. Paul's legacy is etched not only in his actions but also through the cherished memories he created with those around him.

Endowed with a vibrant personality, Paul was a beacon of joy and light. He was often heard humming or singing a tune, a reflection of his spirited nature. His infectious laughter and buoyant demeanor left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who loved him. His passion for life was contagious, and he had a unique ability to bring smiles to the faces of friends and family alike, despite his personal struggles and everything he had been through.

Paul's life was interwoven with the love of his family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Felecia, and his beloved son, Gavin Seider, who will carry forward his father's legacy of compassion. He leaves behind his father, Rick Smith, and his cherished parents, Paul and Carrie Crites, whose love and support shaped him into the remarkable man he became. Paul is remembered fondly by his parents-in-law, Dan Ward and Michelle Ward, as well as, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other friends and relatives. Additionally, he shared a profound bond with his best friend, Spanky, his baby, Greta, and his little buddy Mochi who provided companionship and joy when he needed it most.

Paul joins his beloved mother, Nancy Smith, and his siblings, Ryan and Krystal Crites, in eternal rest. While he may no longer walk among us, his warmth, laughter, and the impact he had on so many lives will remain forever in our hearts. The world has lost a brilliant light, but Paul’s legacy of love and kindness will endure through all who had the privilege to know him.

As we say goodbye, let us celebrate Paul D. Crites Jr. not just for the sorrow of his passing but for the incredible life he led-a life rich with love, laughter, and the kind of generosity that inspires us all to be better. He will be deeply missed, but his legacy of kindness and joy will continue to echo in our lives.
