Patrick Michael Pyle, 48, passed away May 30, 2026 after a long and courageous battle with cancer, just two days shy of his 49th birthday.
Born in Akron to Gracie & Patrick F. (Pat) Pyle on June 1, 1977, Patrick lived most of his life in or around Akron, making many memories with his parents, siblings, and dear grandparents. He had so many stories of mischief and fun with siblings and cousins at Grandma and Grandpa Pyle’s house.
His teen years were spent in Connecticut, graduating from Foran High School in Milford in 1996. After graduation he studied auto mechanics and moved back home to Akron. His love of skateboarding, and perhaps a little bit of fate, led him to start his next chapter when he met his “K”.
Patrick was a strong family man, a devoted husband, father, son and son in law who fought with everything he had to stay here for his family. He and Kimberly married in 2004 after dating for five years. Two years later they welcomed Shawn Patrick in 2006, and Brendan Michael made their little family complete in 2010. They purchased their forever home in Lakemore, Ohio in 2019.
He was a loving and loyal brother, someone his siblings looked up to. He loved his nieces and nephews and was always the fun uncle at gatherings.
Patrick worked for many years at Quality Body Shop in Akron, and was known for his sense of humor, creativity and his love of early mornings (if you know, you know.)
If he wasn’t working, or even when he was, his love of a broad variety of music was something he shared with many coworkers and friends over the years, and music was a big part of his entire life, and a big influence on his sons.
Losing Patrick is such an immense loss to so many people.
Patrick was preceded in death by his father, Patrick F. Pyle; brother, Jacob Pyle; grandparents, Frank & Nadine Pyle; father in law, Bill Hall; aunt, Tammy Dean; grandma, Becky Dean; Lucky, and Ike.
Patrick is survived by his wife, Kimberly, and sons, Shawn and Brendan; parents, Gracie and Rick Dean; brother, Joshua (Stephanie) Dean; sister, Abigail (Tanner) Sherman; mother in law, Sarah Hall; sisters in law, Kelli (Scott) West and Shelli (Dennis) Stanley; nieces and nephews, Billy, Shianne (Rob), Amy (Christian), Donovin, Cherokee, Landin, Sophia, Brantlee, Graysen, Dixie, Winslie; great nephew, Silas; special friends, Nolan Clingan, Terry Fohner, Doug Hukill; and many friends, neighbors, family members and coworkers.
The family would like to thank Dr. Kevin Baldie, the Cleveland Clinic Akron General Oncology & Hematology staff, and the nurses at the Green infusion center for their compassionate care.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, 4:00pm - 7:00pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, Ohio 44305 with a funeral service on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at 10:30 am. Interment will be at Hillside Memorial Park.
