Patrick Mason Brady, age 74, of Tallmadge, Ohio, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2025. Born on October 29, 1950, in Bedford, Ohio, Patrick was the cornerstone of a loving family and a cherished friend to many.
A proud Army Veteran, Patrick served his country during the Vietnam War, embodying the spirit of dedication and resilience that would define him throughout his life. After returning home, he embarked on a fulfilling career as an automotive mechanic a couple car dealerships, where his skillful hands always found a way to fix things with remarkable efficiency, earning him respect and admiration from his peers. Additionally, Patrick contributed his hard work and determination as a warehouse worker for Tops Grocery Store.
An alumnus of Bedford High School, Patrick’s education fortified a foundation upon which he built a life filled with purpose and compassion. Known for his good sense of humor and innate kindness, he had the remarkable ability to connect with people from all walks of life, leaving a lasting impression wherever he went.
Patrick was not just handy in his profession but in life as well. He took joy in making improvements around the home, often building onto houses and creating spaces filled with warmth and love. His hobbies reflected his zest for life; in his younger years, he relished the freedom of the open road on his motorcycle. Later in life he enjoyed quiet moments by the water fishing with grandchildren.
Above all, Patrick adored his family. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife of 55 years, Nina, whose companionship brought him immeasurable joy. Together, they cultivated a family that flourished under Patrick's attentive care. He is survived by his children, Daniel (Colette) Brady and Kimberly (Matthew) Strebler, who carry forward his legacy of kindness and humor. His grandchildren, Brooke and Eden Brady, and Eric and Ryan Strebler, were the glimmers of light in his life, and he took immense pride in watching them grow.
Patrick’s memories live on in the hearts of his loved ones and through the stories shared among those who had the privilege of knowing him. He was predeceased by his parents, Hank and Ina Brady, and his siblings Carolyn, Frank, and Sandi, who surely welcomed him with open arms.
As we celebrate Patrick’s life, we remember a man whose heart was as large as his laughter, whose strength was matched only by his gentle spirit, and whose love remains eternally etched in the lives of all he touched. He will be deeply missed, yet fondly remembered, forever.
