Patricia Jo Vargo Mcverry

Patricia Jo Vargo McVerry, 82, passed away August 12, 2019. Born in Akron, Ohio to Roy and Delores (Mahoney) Unger, Pat worked as Human Resource Director at Akron General Medical Center for many years. She then moved to North Carolina, where she retired working as Human Resource Director for Greer Pharmaceuticals. She loved golf, shopping, travel, making clothes for her great grandchildren and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by daughter, Vickie Stanley. She will be sadly missed by her husband, James; daughter, Vonne (Brian) Mitchell; grandchildren, Nicole (Brian) McFadden, Ryan Mitchell, Joshua Stanley, Jared (Caitlyn) Stanley; 7 great grandchildren; sister, Yvonne Thurston; nephew, Todd Thurston; former husband and friend, Steve Vargo; her precious dog, Maggie.

Per her wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will hold a Celebration of Pat's Life at a later date. Those who wish may make donations in Pat's name to the Humane Society of Summit County, 7996 Darrow Rd., Twinsburg, Ohio 44087.
