Patricia M. Bella

Patricia M. Bella 94, of Mogadore, went home to be with her Lord and loving husband Stephen on Sunday May 10, 2015. Pat was employed by Goodyear Aerospace and involved in the WWII era as a Rosie the Riveter, where she claimed the title Beauty Queen with her auburn hair, dark brown eyes and beautiful smile. Pat supported the war effort in following her husband during his stateside commission until he was shipped overseas. Her many jobs included working for the Red Cross, Candy Striper at St. Thomas Hospital, clerking at JC Penney's for 13 years, and plant B inspector at Goodyear Aerospace before retiring.

Her interests and hobbies included gardening, baking, scrap booking, traveling, reading, teaching Sunday School and attending her grandchildren's sporting events. Patricia's main focus in life was her family. She loved spending time with them and was involved in all of their lives. There wasn't anything she wouldn't do for them. She accepted Christ as her Savior at the age of 42, serving as a longtime member of Grace Baptist Church. Patricia's prayer has always been for the salvation of her family and many loved ones.

Patricia was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Stephen Joseph; parents, Georgia Ruth and Harry Paul Roberts; and brother, Donald Moody Roberts. She will be deeply missed by her daughters, Judy (Gerald) Dies, Jenny (Timothy) Thomas, and Jeanne (Larry) Hotchkiss; grandchildren, Timothy (Brittany) Thomas, Jeremy (Lisa) Hotchkiss, Julie (Troy) Campbell, Kimberly (Steven) Youngblood, Jeffrey (Joy) Thomas, Jenna (Billy) Blatt; great-grandchildren, Alexis and Alayna Holmes, Kolton Thomas, Lily Hotchkiss, Tyler Youngblood, Kade Thomas, Jeremy (JJ) Hotchkiss Jr., Jake Youngblood, Kooper Thomas, and Langston Thomas; and surviving sisters, Frieda Minier, Virginia Swartz, Carolyn Brown all of Arizona, and Pauline Calderone of Akron.

Family and friends may call on Thursday May 14, 2015 from 6-9 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305. Funeral service will be held on Friday May 15, 2015 at 10:30 am at Grace Baptist Church 704 N. Firestone Blvd. Akron, OH 44306. Pastor Bob Stephens officiating. Interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
