Patricia L. "Patty" Doolin, 94, of Akron, passed away October 23, 2016. Patty was born on September 19, 1922 in Willard, Ohio; daughter of the late Daniel and Helen Heffley. She was a graduate of People's Hospital in 1944 and worked as a Registered Nurse for many years at Akron General Hospital and Akron Children's Hospital ER. Patty was a member of Spicer School PTA, and Eastern Star.
In addition to her parents, Patty was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jerry Payne in 2000; daughters, Maureen L. Steward and Kathleen Desorcy; brothers, Paul, Charles and Daniel Heffley; and sisters, Ruth Welt, Betty Barber and Gertrude Heffley.
She will be dearly missed by her children, Charles T. Doolin, II and Diane Tamasovich; 2 grandchildren, Sarah Tamasovich and Joshua (Heather) Tamasovich; and nephew, Daniel (Mark) Barber.
Burial will take place at Rose Hill Burial Park on November 2, 2016 at 1:30 pm. Memorial donations may be made in Patty's name to the American Cancer Society.
