Patricia A. Sombati

Patricia A. "Patti" Sombati, 75, went to be with the Lord on January 8, 2015, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Patti was a member of the North Canton Community Christian Church. She loved to travel, and especially enjoyed St. Maarten and cruises with her family and friends. Patti "attempted" to golf, but wasn't very successful. She loved watching the Food Network. Patti was a member of the National Secretaries Association and retired from Akron Standard Mold/ I. T. W. after more than 30 years of service.

Preceded in death by her parents, Burdette and Vera Spitler; and grandson, Ryan Michael. Survivors include her beloved husband, Jack, of 55 years; sons, Steven (Lori) and Robert (fiancée, Teresa Sidoti); Teresa's children, who Patti loved as her own; grandchildren, Brooke, Nicholas, and Kyle; and many special friends.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 1 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, with Rev. Sarah Taylor Peck, of North Canton Community Christian Church, officiating. Family and friends may gather one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Care Center, 3358 Ridgewood Rd. Akron, OH 44333.
