Patrice Annette Hanna -Bechtol, age 72, passed away on June 5th from complications from COPD. Her doting husband, Ken Bechtol, was by her side at the Cleveland Clinic Hospice Center in Akron, Ohio. Father Marcelli of St. Sebastian Church read her the Last Rites of the Catholic Church.
She was born to Thomas and Kitty Hanna on October 4, 1953. She graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School in 1971. She attended Ohio State and graduated from KSU with a Bachelors degree. She had an impeccable memory. She loved to decorate and shower her family with gifts. She always made the holidays and birthdays special. She would call her stepdaughter, Jocelyn occasionally with an "urgent" notation so she could get her grandchildren the perfect gift! Her grandchildren, Justin and Lindsey commented that she always made the Holidays special and took them shopping to get whatever their hearts desired.
She and Ken would often visit her best friend and high school chum, Patty White, and take a dip in their pool to kick off the summer. Patrice's sister-in-law, Karen Bechtol, commented that Patrice was very intelligent, outgoing, thoughtful and kind to all. She was truly an amazing lady.
We had many wonderful times together. We will miss her.
