Pamela Sue Clardy, 74, passed away on June 19, 2026 with her daughter and granddaughters by her side following a brief and unexpected illness.

Born June 11, 1952, she was a lifelong resident of Akron, Ohio. Pam was a dedicated special education driver for Akron Public Schools for over 40 years. She really enjoyed working on the film production of The Instructor filmed in the Akron area, with her sister, Michele and cousin, Sandy.

Pam would best be described as a gentle, kind, hilarious, and loving woman. She loved to play games, especially Euchre, Yahtzee, and beating everyone at Left Right Center at Christmas. She loved shopping and could spend all day at the mall. Pam cherished her friendships dearly, including special friends Cathy, Sonya, Judy, and Jamie. She loved going out to dinner with them and spending hours on the phone.

Her greatest joy in life was being a mother and being “Nano” to her two granddaughters. She loved spending time with her family. Whether it was taking her granddaughters to their school’s fun fair and winning all the raffles as “Lucky Lady,” watching Disney movies, or spoiling them at Christmas with each present meticulously wrapped, she loved every moment with them. Some of her most cherished memories included trips with her husband and her girls to Myrtle Beach to visit her precious cousin, Sandy. She loved shopping for hours at Broadway at the Beach, listening to the waves on the balcony, and relaxing in the pool with her Tweety Bird boogie board in hand to protect her fresh highlights.

She was preceded in death by her father Benjamin Weaver; mother Martha Weaver; beloved husband of 52 years, Phillip Clardy; sister Michele Nichols; brother-in-law Frank Nichols; precious niece Tina Buehrle.

She will be deeply missed by her loving daughter Kimberly (Michael) McCarthy; granddaughters Megan (Jesse) Wood and Mackenzie McCarthy; sisters-in-law Lois (Richard) Arter and Tami (Paul) Warner; special cousins Louie, Sandy, and the Tkacik girls; nieces and nephews Tammy, Ty, Tam, Todd, and Candace; great niece Delaney; and many family members and great friends who will all miss her dearly.

The family will be holding a Celebration of Life in August and will share those details once finalized. Friends and loved ones are encouraged to reach out to the family for further details.
