Listen to Obituary

Born on November 16, 1941, Pamela K. Butler lived a full and beautiful life, and died on her 84th birthday, November 16, 2025. She died as she lived, surrounded by people she loved.

She was born in Ohio to Ellard and Dorothy Rentz. In June, 1961, she married the love of her life, Arden Kyle Butler. They settled in Brimfield, Ohio, and spent 63 happy years together before his passing in 2025.

Pam's family was the most important thing to her, and she always made sure to greet loved ones and friends with a beaming smile and a big hug. She spent her earlier married days raising their three children, preserving food, sewing clothes, and making a happy home for her family. Later in life, once grandchildren started arriving, Pam happily embraced her role as Grandma to three beautiful granddaughters, who were the light of her life.

Throughout her 84 years, Pam had numerous hobbies, including painting ceramics, crocheting, sewing and selling handmade crafts, and making hard candy to sell for extra money at Christmas. Many family members and friends were gifted homemade treasures from her over the years. Camping with family was an important and much-loved part of her life. She was a great cook, and made the best cinnamon cake you've ever tasted. And she collected so many ceramic roosters that if they were lined up, they would probably reach from Brimfield to Akron!

Pam was preceded in death by her husband, Arden Kyle Butler; her son, Dennis J. Butler; and her parents. She is survived by her daughters, Kimberly Binkley (Tim) and Lori Butler (Jeff); her daughter-in-law, Rhonda Butler; her granddaughters, Raegan Butler, Ryleigh (Logan) Bever, and Kamryn Butler; and numerous other family and friends.

A special thanks to her caregivers at GreenView Senior Assisted Living in Green for making her welcome and keeping her comfortable in her last few months. The family appreciates your kindness and compassion.
