Norman Morgan was born and raised in Akron, Ohio. He served in the United States Army for two years and fought in Viet Nam from October 1968 - October 1969. On August 29, 2026, Norman Morgan left this Earth to join the love of his life: Jean Marie Morgan, who preceded him in life.

Preceded in death by parents Charlotte {Wormald} and Robert Morgan and sister Joy.

Norman leaves to mourn his passing, brother Dennis and sister Linda, his son Joel (Julie) and daughter Melanie, grandchildren Rodney, Nathan, Katelyn, Sarah and Grace. As well as his nieces, nephews, and many, many friends who loved and cherished his presence in their lives.

Norman was a kind, generous, and loving person to all he knew and loved. He was also a man with strong opinions and firm beliefs. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, playing cards with friends and vacationing with family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Newcomer Funeral Home, located at 131 N Canton Rd, Akron, OH 44305, immediately followed by a funeral service. Upon completion, a procession will travel to Mount Peace Cemetery located at 217 Kent Ave., Hartville, OH 44632, where Norman and Jean Morgan will be laid to rest. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donation in their names to the Akron Zoo Animal Fund. To leave a special message for Norman's family, please visit the guest book below.
