Norma J. Stone, 91, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2017. She was born in Akron on December 3, 1925 to late parents Harvey and Irene Dorward. With her loving husband and high school sweetheart, Roy, they developed and owned Hidden Hollow Campground in Carroll County, OH for 20 years. Together they traveled the world to many exotic locations. She volunteered for many years at Stan Hywett Hall and as a precinct worker on election day. Norma enjoyed knitting, making many items for her family and friends, and was proud of her tidy home.
Norma was preceded in death by her brother, Harold "Bud" Dorward, and sister, Mary Hollingsworth. She is survived by her husband of 73 years, Roy Warren Stone; sons, Ronald (Rosaleen) Stone and Perry (Donna) Stone; 8 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; and nieces, Jody and Sandra.
Per her wishes, cremation will take place. A memorial service will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery on Friday, April 21, 2017 at 1:15pm.
