Norma Jean Cleeve
Norma Jean Cleeve, loving wife to Richard Cleeve of 55 years; nurturing mother of Debbie Nighman, Jerry Holt, and Lori Johnson; beloved grandmother to Kellie, Ryan, Angela, Jerry, Brandy, and Ricky; and great-grandmother of four; passed away at the age of 79 on the morning of November 4, 2015, peacefully in her sleep in her Akron home.
Norma was born to Dora and Robert Glenn Earlenbaugh on October 12, 1936 in Altoona, PA. She was an Akron resident for most of her life. Growing up, Norma enjoyed ice skating. She would walk miles to practice everyday to prepare for competition. Norma touched the lives of many co-workers and customers while working at Acme for 47 1/2 years.
Norma was known by all as the most caring, thoughtful, and selfless person. She would do anything for anyone no matter what. Having the opportunity to make others happy was what made her truly happy. Her heart was warm, sincere, and big enough to share with everyone in her life.
A memorial service to celebrate Norma's life with family and friends will be held at Chapel of Prayer Baptist Church (1811 Brittain Rd., Akron, OH 44310) at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, November 10, 2015.
