Nedra E. Cook, 91, passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2016. She was born on June 12, 1925 in Rittman, Ohio to George and Lottie Heisz. Nedra enjoyed fishing in Canada and spending time with her grandchildren. She could always be found at her church lending a helping hand with the food program, this gave her much enjoyment. Nedra was truly a people person, with a huge heart.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Betty.
Nedra is survived by her loving husband of 73 years, William Cook; children, Gerald (Susan) Cook, Nancy Archer; 5 grandchildren,11 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren.
Family will receive friends on, Sunday, September 11, 2016 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd, Akron, Ohio 44305. A funeral service will be held on, Monday, September 12, 2016 at 11a.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home.
Interment will take place at Northlawn Memorial Gardens.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Betty.
