Naomi Helen Hilton, 89, passed away on December 25, 2015. She was born on February 21, 1926 in Quinwood, West Virginia to the late K.C. and Mary Ethel Crist. Naomi was married on June 26, 1948 to her loving husband, Doyle Hilton. She worked for A&P and Edwin Shaw and was a member of the Arlington Church of the Nazarene. In her free time, she enjoyed growing vegetables and canning. She loved reading, Search A Word puzzles, and baking. Above all, she appreciated nature and spent time outdoors whenever she could.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Patsy Yearago; son, Pat Yearago; daughter, Lynn Henson; and brothers, Johnny, Alvin, and Raymond Crist. She will be deeply missed by her husband, Doyle Hilton; daughter, Alice (Carnie) Fox; son, Bill Hilton; sisters, Kathryn Bunting, Phyllis Godfrey, and Shelby (Charles) Taylor; brother, Bill Crist; grandchildren, Danny (Patty), Eric (Tamara), Shawn, Denise (Robert), Josh, Alexis, and Dalton; great-grandchildren, Nick (Nicki), Joey, Devon, Alivia, Gabrielle, Chloe, and Ruthie.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 30, 2015 from 10-11:30 followed by an 11:30 a.m. funeral service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. Please, no flowers. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Haven of Rest Ministries.
