Nancy Shackelford

Nancy B. Shackelford, 71, of Akron, passed away July 30, 2014. Nancy was born in Akron, Ohio on February 2, 1943 to the late John and Gladys Shackelford. In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by siblings, Joyce, Ruth, Don and Jim. Left to cherish her memory's sisters, Eileen Mitchell, Mary Oseland both of Tallmadge, and Helen Cullen of Mogadore; brothers, John (Barb) Shackelford of Akron, and Roger (Debbie) Shackelford of Florida and sister-in-law, Arlene Shackelford and close family friend, Pat Boland. Also left to cherish her memories are many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, aunts, cousins and many friends. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Windsong Care Center and Summa Hospice. Family and friends may call on, Sunday, August 3, 2014 from 3 to 5pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Road, Akron, where funeral services will be held Monday, August 4, 2014 at 11:00 am with Rev. Fleary Spurlock officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
