Nancy James

Nancy James, 81, of Akron, passed away on May 16, 2016. She was born on February 21, 1935 and grew up in Medina. Nancy was a "go-getter", a hard worker, loved gardening, bowling, and was devoted to her family.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Heiss and Gertrude Martin, and Aunt Bertha Peters. She is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, Ray James; daughter, Nellie (Jim) Spindler; sons, Ray (Eileen) James, Richard James, Bobby (DeeDee) James, Mark (Laurie) James; grandchildren, Molly Spindler, Melissa (Dakota) Jarvis, Melinda (Brian) Flohr, Tiffany (Greg) Eichler, Tonya Charles, Shawn (Stephanie) James, Billy James, Jesse James, Michelle James, David Dykes, Dara Dykes, Vanessa (Carl) Oliver, Bobby James II, Gene Lepke, Markie James, Charlotte James, Savannah James, Isabelle James; great-grandchildren, Macie Jarvis, Asher and Sydney Flohr, Adam, Kelsey, Kendall and Garret Eichler, Cheyenne, Cameron and Colbie Charles, Ellie and Jase James, Kohler James, Kaylie Dykes, Emily and Aden Dykes, Mason and Trevor Oliver; twin sister, Pat Carlos.

Family will welcome guests on Saturday, May 21, 2016 from 1-3pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. A memorial service will take place at 3pm.
