Nancy Ann Covey, born on September 5, 1944, in Louisville, KY, peacefully departed from this life on June 28, 2025, in Akron, Ohio.

A remarkable woman, she devoted her early career to being a secretary before transitioning into the fulfilling role of a homemaker, nurturing and caring for her three beloved children, Chris Repko, Deirdre Susanne Shelton, and Adam (Jill) Repko. Nancy derived immense pride and joy from her family, considering her children and grandchildren as her proudest accomplishments. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Dakota, Derek and Demi Brown, Amelie, John, Max, and Emma Repko; great-grandson, Damon Brown; her great-niece, Deva Smith-Gunter; as well as her treasured fur babies, Bandit and Smokey, whom she loved to care for.

A 1963 graduate of Phoenixville Area High School, Nancy furthered her education at Levitan Business School in Philadelphia, PA, where she earned a Stenographic Secretarial Degree in 1964. As the matriarch of her family, she was known for her wisdom and encouragement, always ready to offer advice to those who sought it.

In addition to her devotion to family, Nancy was an avid lover of the outdoors, finding joy in visiting state parks and fishing on Lake Erie. Her cherished memories also include time spent in Alaska with her late husband, Roger Covey. Nancy's passion for the natural world extended to hiking, camping, and biking, as she participated in the Summit County Metroparks "Hiking Spree," proudly earning a medal each year for her accomplishments.

Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Cleo Goode, her husbands, John Matthew Repko and Roger Covey, her sister, Gayle Spiegel, nieces, Dondi and Tasha Smith, and special friend, Bob Werner.

Nancy's visitation will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home located at 131 N Canton Rd, Akron, Ohio 44305.
