Nancy Luvada Bailey, age 84, quietly passed away on April 11, 2021 after a short illness. She was born November 15, 1936 to Emery and Wilma Johnson of Bedford, Ohio.
Nancy loved to sew, dance, sing, play piano, and travel. She was "Nanny" to a couple dozen grandchildren and double that number in great-grands and great-great grands. Nancy was the matriarch of the Jones, Johnson, and Napier clan, a large family indeed! She was loved by all and will be truly missed.
Nancy is survived by eight children: Nancy R. (Will), Keith (Dawn), Frank, William (Michelle), Lisa (Dana), Brett (Ynez), Duwan, Eric (Margaret), and two brothers: Lloyd and Richard Johnson.
Nancy was preceded in death by two husbands, Henry Jones in 2003, and Joe Bailey in 2016; a son, Henry Jones II in 2017; her sister Eileen Napier; and a brother E. Allen Johnson Jr.
Memorial visitation will take place at Newcomer 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, OH 44305 on Saturday April 24, 2021 from 10am until 12pm. A private memorial service will take place for her family.
