Miriam Grace Richard, age 96, left this earth for heaven on October 27, 2018.
She was born on September 14, 1922 in Akron, the daughter of the late William John and Lois Marie (nee Bucy) Warjon. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Betty Kern, Lois Bobaly, and her brother, Robert Warjon.
She is survived by her children, Lois (David) Seese of Suffield Twp., and James (Fran) Richard of Columbus; her grandchildren, Christopher (Jodie) Walker of Columbus, Jeffery Richard of Los Angeles, and Andrew Richard of Columbus; her great-granddaughters, Madison and Molly Walker. Her step-grandchildren, Kim (Matt) Elliott of Indiantown, Florida and David E. Seese of Cleveland; and one brother-in-law, Danny Richards of Milwaukee.
The family extends a heart-felt thank you to Pebble Creek Nursing Home nurses and staff for the six years she spent there and also Ohio Living Hospice, who attended to her comfort and care during her last days.
Family and friends are welcome to visit on Thursday, November 1, 2018 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 2, 2018 at 1:00 PM at the funeral home, where Pastor Phil Anderson will celebrate Miriam's life.
Miriam will be laid to rest at Hillside Memorial Park, Akron, with her husband, Eddie Richard, he preceded her on April 21, 2012, and they were united in marriage on May 3, 1947.
