Minnie "Mickie" Milliken, 97, of Akron, fell asleep May 17, 2016 waiting for the return of Jesus. Mickie was born in Kingston, West Virginia on April 6, 1919 to the late William and Lula (Armstrong) Hyden. Mickie enjoyed genealogy, gardening and had a special love of all animals.
In addition to her parents, Mickie was preceded in death by her first husband, George Boulden; her loving husband, Joseph Milliken; daughter, Patricia Milliken; granddaughter, Elizabeth Thorpe; brothers, Basil (Ruth), Carl (Joanne), and Russell Hyden; sisters, Leona (Clyde) Gray, Virginia (William) Davis, Gloria (Orland) Wallace, and Lorraine (Paul) Osburn; and in-laws, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Milliken.
She will be dearly missed by her children, Marjorie (William) Evans, Janice (Richard) Gray, Paul (Janet) Boulden, Robert (Renee) Milliken; brother, Marshall (Jean) Hyden; sister, Joetta (Gordon) Light; 9 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
