Michael H. Stewart Jr.

Michael H. Stewart Jr., 52, of Rootstown, passed away on December 4, 2025. Mike was born in Cleveland, Ohio on March 30, 1973 to Michael and Cheryl Stewart Sr. After graduating from Streetsboro High School, Mike earned a degree in psychology from Kent State University. For over twenty years, he worked as a business development manager for IBM.

In his free time, Mike pursued many interests. He enjoyed bowling, baseball, and karaoke. He also loved competing in fantasy sports leagues. Mike was an avid traveler and made many special memories on cruises and trips to Las Vegas.

Mike will be deeply missed by his loving daughter, Bronwyn Stewart; parents, Michael and Cheryl Stewart Sr.; brother and sister-in-law, Jason and Amanda Stewart; niece, Erica Stewart; and numerous, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Family and friends are welcome to gather on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 from 5-7 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, Ohio 44305.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Mike may be made to the Mental Health and Recovery Board of Portage County, 155 E. Main St, Kent, Ohio 44240.
