Michael P. Sturm

Michael Sturm, age 63, passed peacefully at home on February 28, 2016, after a long illness. Predeceased by parents, Paul and Ann; brother, Ron. Survived by spouse, Debbie (42 years); sister, Jackie Youkers, brothers, Gary (Kathy), Cary (Patti) Sturm, and sister-in-law, Nancy Sturm. Mike also leaves behind nieces, Jill (Mike) Bradisse, Jeri (Mark) Overholt, Julie Sutter, Nicole (Cory) Flachbart; Sara Sturm, Kathleen Sturm and partner Romick Acon; nephews, Chuck (Lisa) Youkers, Ron (Christine) Sturm, and Mike Calovini; along with several great nieces and nephews.
Mike enjoyed bowling, golf, darts, traveling, and riding his Harley Trike with friends and family.
Special thanks to Dr. Brad Crombie, Dr. John Fink, and Dr. Ted Shaub for their many years of care. The family would also like to express our gratitude to Gary and Kathy Sturm, Chuck and Nancy Keele, and Jack and Sandy Huber for all their support and help over the years.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 6, 2016 from 2-4 followed by a 4:00 p.m. funeral service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Mike will be privately laid to rest at Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
