Merry Phillips

Merry "Eileen" Phillips, 85, passed away November 5, 2016. She was born December 26, 1930 to the late Flavious and Lenna Douglas. Eileen was also preceded in death by her husband, Landis "Phil" Phillips; sister, Geraldine Griffin; brothers, Hubert Douglas and Donald Douglas; her loving niece, Chris Garkovich; brothers and sisters-in-law, William and Trixie Weiand, Jack and Donnie Joseph; loving in-laws, Harold and Margaret Joseph.
She is survived by her daughter Kim and husband David Price; granddaughter, Kristen Price; great-grandchildren, Jordin Twiddy, Alexis Ansell, and Aiden Rice; sister, Carol Garkovich, brother-in-law, Ig Garkovich; many nieces, nephews, and friends. She also leaves her dear best friend, Jeannie Coles, her "adoptive" daughter, Laurie Mace, and her puppy love, Precious.
Family and friends may visit on Thursday, November 10, 2016 from 5-7 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. A private service will be held for family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rose's Rescue, PO Box 33, Rootstown, OH 44272 in memory of Eileen Phillips.
