Meri (Taylor) Hamilton

Mary (Taylor) Hamilton, of Atwater, Ohio, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a lifetime of love and memories that will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.

Meri's life was centered around her family. As a devoted stay-at-home mother, she dedicated herself to raising her children and creating a loving home. Her greatest joy was being a mother and grandmother, and she cherished every moment with her children and 12 beautiful grandchildren.

She is survived by her beloved children, daughters Sheri Moye, Andrea Schwalm, Erica Hamilton and Amanda Hamilton, and son Clay Hamilton; her sister, Teri (Kenny) Cottrill; her brother, Ralph (Barb) Taylor; and her 12 grandchildren, who brought so much happiness and love into her life. She is also survived by her former husband, Bryan Hamilton, and extended family and friends who will forever hold her memory close.

Meri's childhood in Atwater was filled with simple, happy memories, including fun times roller skating and riding bikes. Those carefree days were part of the foundation of the warm, family-loving person she became. Her love, dedication, and devotion to her children and grandchildren will be remembered always. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy of family, love, and memories that will be treasured for generations.

There will be no funeral service. In keeping with Meri's wishes, her ashes will be scattered at sea. Meri always dreamed of swimming with the dolphins, and her family finds comfort in imagining her finally free, surrounded by the ocean and perhaps even swimming alongside the dolphins she loved.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the ALS Association in Meri's memory.
