On the wings of angels, Melissa Zimerla, 90, is in her final resting place with her Lord and Savior.
Born in Mt. Savage, MD to the late James and Annie Murray, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles L. Zimerla; brothers, Chuck and Jack Murray; sister, Dorothy Martin; and dear friend, Dan Nave.
To treasure her memory are sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth (Yvonne) Zimerla and James (Ellen) Zimerla; daughter and son-in-law, Wendy (Steve) Rarick; grandchildren, Vicky (Scott) Toney, Jeff (Becky Slay) Zimerla, Tanya Beckwith, Jennifer DiMassa, Eric Zimerla, Beth (Shawn) Kahl, Mark (Corrie) Zimerla and Lesli Ann Rarick; 10 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; sister, Idella Gaudio; sister and brother-in-law, Pat (Nick) Nicolard; many special nieces and nephews.
Melissa loved her family first and foremost. She loved music, her home and flower gardens - particularly her beautiful hosta garden. She was also an avid Tribe fan.
Cremation has taken place. Services will be private.
