Melinda Delong

Melinda J "Nin" DeLong, 87, of Green, passed away August 29, 2014. Melinda was born in Akron, Ohio on June 6, 1927. Melinda retired from Woolworths. In her free time, she enjoyed playing BINGO and watching golf. Melinda was preceded in death by her loving husband, Clarence J. DeLong of 62 years; sons, Larry and Donald. She is survived by three daughters, Sandi (Jack) Archer, Jackie (Tom) Jessel and Terri (Rick) Benedum; 10 grandchildren, many great and great great grandchildren; sisters, Eleanor Harker, and Pat Patser; brothers, Bill Brown and Rick Oldham. Family and friends may call on, Friday, September 5, 2014 from 5 to 7pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Road, Akron. In honoring Melinda's wishes cremation has taken place.
