Matthew "Matt" Casey, 31, of Akron, passed away on Monday, October 15, 2012. Matt was an amazing person with a huge heart. A friend to everyone, he always had a story, a song lyric, or a joke.
He leaves behind his father, Drew (Tracy) Casey; his mother, Elizabeth (Richard) Jones; and his siblings, Amanda (Michael), Erin, Michael, Zachary, and Cole.
Matt left his imprint on the earth. He was truly a brilliant, unique and outgoing person who will be missed and never forgotten. "Everything remains as it was. The old life that we lived so fondly together is untouched, unchanged. Whatever we were to each other, that we are still. Call me by the old familiar name. Speak of me in the easy way which you always used. Put no sorrow in your tone…I am but waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner. There will be no services at this time. Private burial will take place.
