Mary (Deluca) Messenger
AKRON - Mary (Deluca) Messenger, 92, entered into her Lord's presence, Thursday, July 15, 2015. Born to immigrant parents Joseph and Jeanie Deluca, Mary was a life-long resident of the Akron area. She lived her life in service to Christ, her family, and anyone that she could possibly help along the way. Along with her husband, she was a founding member of The Chapel on Fir Hill. Mary loved children and taught them about Jesus' love through Sunday School, VBS, summer camps, and home Bible clubs. She will be missed by her church family at Crossroads Bible Fellowship.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Amos "Bud", and sons, John (Mary Jane) and Ron (Jacquie). Mary is survived by her children, Candy Woody, Dan (Tsianinia), and Rich (Meg); grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Family and friends may call on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. followed by a 10:30 a.m. funeral service at Crossroads Bible Fellowship, 737 George Washington Blvd, Akron. Final resting place will be at Greensburg Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Crossroads Bible Fellowship, 737, George Washington Blvd., Akron, OH 44312.
