MaryLou was born in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan but moved to Cuyahoga Falls at a young age. She was a 1966 graduate of Cuyahoga Falls HS, where she met her life long best friend. In 1968 she met the love of her life, her husband of 55 years.
She received her Bachelor's degree from Bowling Green University in 1970, and her Master's in Accounting at Kent State University in 1983. She was a devoted, loving Mother of 3 kids that adored her, and a Granny to 2.
MaryLou loved life and always had a smile on her face, which is likely why she was a friend to everyone she met.
She could help you find the silver lining to any situation, and just like the lighthouses at she loved so much, she was always there to give you hope and guide anyone through any storm.
She loved cooking, reading, doing puzzles and was very creative when it came to arts and crafts. She loved being outdoors, whether it was gardening, going for a walk in the park, or just listening to the birds sing; speaking of singing, she would gladly sing any song for you out of tune, but you still couldn't help but smile.
We would like to thank Arden Courts of Bath for caring for our dear wife and mother in her last year. Not only were they also charmed by her smile, and loved her like family but they gave us peace of mind that allowed us to spend the quality time with her that we needed.
Cremation has taken place and no public services will be held; however we do welcome any messages &/or memories to be shared in the guest book here. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you donate to MaryLou's favorite charity, St. Judes Children's Hospital.
