Mary Lou Gibbons (Appleman)
Mary Lou Gibbons nee Appleman 73, went home to be with the Lord on June 7, 2015. She was born in Zanesville, OH on March 1, 1942 to the late George Kenneth and Annabel Appleman. Mary worked at Hair Affair in Fairlawn and held several secretarial positions until her retirement. She enjoyed making her own jewelry and decorating. Mary's greatest joy was spending time with family, especially her children and grandchildren. She was a great listener and loved to talk for hours with her daughters and close friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lee. Mary leaves to cherish her memory, daughters, Kim (Cliff) Musgrave, and Kelli (Ponch) Santiago; grandchildren, Mike Santiago, Tyler Gibbons, Andrea Santiago, CJ Musgrave, Luke Musgrave and Dylan Mayberry; sisters, Kay (John) Morrison, and Judy Kearns; brother, George Appleman; close friends, Marcia Minnella and Paula Musgrave; and many other relatives and friends.
Calling hours will be held on Friday June 12, 2015 from 11-1pm with memorial service starting at 1pm at Newcomer Funeral Home 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305. Rev. Robert Stephens officiating.
