Mary Lou Hayward-Brown

January 21, 1948 — May 17, 2025

Akron

Mary Lou Hayward-Brown passed away at home with her daughter and daughter-in-law Saturday morning (5/17/25). She is survived by her son Brett (Kim) Babick, her daughter Lisa (Sabra) Babick, and her 4 grandchildren, Broden (Courtney) Babick, Riley (Ingrid) Babick, Elizabeth (Daniel) Herber, and Kegan (Abigail) Babick. Mary Lou adored her grandchildren. She was a proud 1966 graduate of North High, and worked tirelessly to ensure her classmates got together often and had fabulous reunions. Mary Lou had many friends, some of them for over 70 years. She loved to shop, get together with friends, and brag about her children. She was extremely proud of her children, and especially proud to be their mother. The family would like to thank Town Square Hospice, especially Jamie and Barbie, for taking such wonderful care of Mary Lou and making this time easier for her family. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Mary’s Name to Town Square Hospice. A celebration of Mary Lou’s life will be held at Newcomer Funeral home on Tuesday, 5/27/25 from 2-4 followed by a get together with family and friends at the Carovillese Club in Akron.
