Mary Joan Flowers, "Doe-Doe", age 79, of Akron, Ohio, died on Friday, December 9, 2016 at 12:18 am at Akron City Hospital.
She was born on February 14, 1937 in Lost Creek, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Charles Lowell and Grace Marie Donohew Weaver.
Mary was a homemaker and she enjoyed cooking and being with her family.
Survivors include her two sons, Michael C. Flowers of Mogadore, and Terry R. Flowers of Akron; six grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; her siblings, Jim Weaver, Brooks Weaver, and Christine Weaver; and many nieces and nephews.
Other than her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her son, Rex Flowers, Jr.; and her brothers, Bill, Rob, and Roger Weaver.
There will be graveside committal services on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Glendale Cemetery, 150 Glendale Avenue, Akron.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Newcomer Funeral Home, Akron.
