Mary E. Lines
Mary E. Lines, 92, of Akron, passed away with her loving family by her side on October 11, 2015. She was born in Clarion, Ohio on March 28, 1923 to the late Sylvester and Angie Donahoe.
A gifted gardener, her love of flowers earned her many Keep Akron Beautiful Awards. Mary was also a talented cook who found great joy in preparing meals for her children and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She and her husband Eli had many fond memories of their camping and fishing trips. Mary was a longtime member of Arlington Memorial Baptist Church where she formed many special friendships.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Eli. She will be deeply missed by her daughters, Judy (Lines) Yost and Laura (Steve) McVicker; grandchildren, Jill, Kurt (Laura), and Brigit; great-grandchildren, Matthew, Michael, and Skye; sisters, Virginia and Linda; special nieces, Carol and Linda and their families; and her beloved dog Mickey.
Per Mary's wishes, private services were held for her family and she was laid to rest at Hillside Memorial Park.
