Mary L. Clausen

Mary L. Clausen, 93, passed away on June 7, 2025. She was born on December 8, 1931. The daughter of the late Donald and Marguerite Hemstreet of Ames, Iowa.

Mary was known for her profound love of family and her remarkable sense of humor. She would brighten up a room with her smile and laughter. She believed in the importance of togetherness and never missed a grandchild's sporting event. She was a constant presence on the sidelines, supporting her loved ones with enthusiasm and pride. An avid sports fan, Mary showed unwavering support for the Cleveland Browns and Ohio State football teams, cheering for her teams through every season.

She had many achievements but her greatest was her love of her family especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Marjorie Rose and son-in-law Ron Ferrell.

Mary is survived by her loving family, children Bill (Evelyn) Van Dyck, Cindy (Marty) Kuchenski, Sharri Ferrell, and Richard (Gina) Clausen; grandchildren Jasson (Nancy) Moore, David (Kaite) Kuchenski, Megan Kuchenski, and Ricky (Kristen) Clausen; great-grandchildren Wesley, Hanna, Gabbi, Braxton, and Khloe; great-great granddaughters Maddie and Sophia. Also, her loving great friends Patti and Chad Winans.

Per Mary's wishes, cremation will take place.
