Mark L. Knotts
Mark L. Knotts, 59, of Akron, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2015. He was born in Akron on June 30, 1955 and lived most of his life in the Great Northwest. He returned to Akron in 2009 and resided with his father, Edgar Knotts. Mark graduated from Springfield High School. He was a Master Craftsman, having learned his skills from his father. He worked for many notable builders in the Coeur d'Alene, Idaho area. Mark was an Ohio sports enthusiast and loved horses, playing guitars, hunting, and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy (Albers) Knotts. He leaves behind his father, Edgar Knotts; three sisters, Lynda (Michael) Antal, LouAnne Knotts Swingle, Lori (Charlie) Wilson; brother, Craig Knotts and Jimi Lin Tabor; and his chocolate Labrador, Lucy. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Mark's family wishes to thank the third floor ICU unit at Akron General Medical Center.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 17, 2015 from 2-4 followed by a 4:00 p.m. memorial service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Following the memorial service, the family invites friends and family to continue celebrating Mark's life at the Springfield Twp Senior Community Center, 2491 Canfield Rd., Akron.
