Mark D. Simpson 63, passed away on September 10, 2015. He was born in Ayer, MA but spent most of his life in Akron, OH. Mark served in the US Marine Corps. He was a Graphic Artist for the City of Akron for over 20 years. He earned a Second Degree Black Belt in the American Taekwondo Association.
He was preceded in death by parents, Michael and Patricia Simpson; and former wife, Claire Simpson. He is survived by his daughter, Sarah (Craig) Spencer; grandchildren, Henry and Owen; brothers, Michael Simpson, Doug (Kathy) Simpson and Patrick Simpson; nephew, Kyle Simpson; nieces, Brooke Hittle and Erin Simpson.
Memorial service will be held on Monday September 14, 2015 at 6pm. Family will receive friends from 5-6pm at Newcomer Funeral Home 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305.
