Marjorie E. Oliver, 68, of Springfield Twp., passed away April 23, 2014. She was born in Akron on May 23, 1945 to the late James and Mable Greenwell. Marjorie was a devoted wife, mother and Christian, with a love for her cats.
She was preceded in death by her son, John William Bendishaw; brother, James Greenwell, Jr.; sisters, Mary Schenkberger and Margaret Greenwell; stepson, Keith Oliver.
Marjorie is survived by her husband of 33 years, Butch; former husband, Bill Bendishaw children, William (Carla) Bendishaw and Theresa (Terry) Carr; stepchildren, Donald Oliver, Linda Oliver, Charles Oliver; 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; brother, Paul (Betty) Greenwell; sister, Martha Schleicher; many nieces and nephews; a special thanks to Fran Martin and the hospital CCU staff at Akron City Hospital.
Family and friends may call on Thursday, May 1, from 5-7 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where a funeral service will follow the calling hours at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Larry Baldridge officiating. Interment Friday, May 2 at 10:45 a.m. at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
