Marion Ferguson

Marion J. Ferguson, 86, of Akron, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 12, 2015. Marion was born in Akron, Ohio on May 20, 1929 to the late Kenneth and Hermina Blasdel. She was a member of New Horizons Christian Church for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed, playing cards and bowling. In addition to her parents, Marion was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert (Bob); daughter, Paula Smith; sister, Roberta DeSure and brother, Kenneth Blasdel. She is survived by daughters, Peggy Marks and Penny (Harold) Smith; son, Russell Ferguson; grandchildren, Conni (Don) Burket, Michelle (Jerry) Jones, Michael Marks, Matthew (Kimberly) Marks, Ralph Ferguson, and Richard Ferguson; step-granddaughter, Shannon Brown; 12 great grandchildren; sister, Evelyn Nanashe and brother, Carl Blasdel. Family and friends may call on Saturday, June 20, 2015 from 11am to 1pm at New Horizons Christian Church, 290 Darrow Rd Akron, Ohio 44305 with funeral services to follow at 1:00 pm with Rev. Jim Bane officiating. Interment at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the New Horizons Christian Church.
