Marie E. (Wehrlin) Schueller

Marie E. (Wehrlin) Schueller, 77, passed away at home December 9, 2022 with her family by her side. Born in Akron, Ohio to Joseph and Frances (Bechter) Wehrlin, she was a lifelong area resident. Marie graduated from Garfield High School in 1964 and later retired from Pitney Bowes. She enjoyed baking, going to the beach, camping, picnics, playing cards and other games, crocheting and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by siblings, Joe Wehrlin, Leo Wehrlin, Dave Wehrlin, Delores Adkins, Kathy Shartzer; son-in-law, Ty Marlin. She will be sadly missed by her husband of 57 years, Steve; children, Elaine Marlin (Michael Poderzay), Steve (Chris) Schueller; grandchildren, Angela (Ryan) Mautz, Jennifer (David) Barber, Ty Jr. (Sandy) Marlin, Nicholas Marlin; great grandchildren, Lucas, Emma, Ty III; siblings, Frances Trogdon, Danny Wehrlin; many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to visit Monday, December 19, 2022 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. The funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial donations in Marie's name to the Alzheimer's Association of their choice.
